Hold Fast Privacy

Hold Fast does not show ads and does not track you across apps or websites.
What is stored
Your iCloud user record identifier is used so a shared note or streak name can be saved in Apple’s CloudKit public database, and so one person can be told apart from another. Hold Fast has no separate account. Apple holds that identifier.
A display name you choose for the streak board is stored in that same public database, so other people using Hold Fast can see it.
Note text you post is stored there too, so other people using the app can read it. Each note is checked for kindness on the device before it is shared. A report (which note, a short reason, and when) is stored the same way, so a note that several different people report can be hidden.
On this device only: verses you save, the look you pick, reminders, the days you read, notes you hide, people you block, and the signals that order the scroll (how long you stay with a card, and whether you like, save, open, play, or share it). Those ranking signals never leave the device.
What Hold Fast does not do
Hold Fast does not sell data. It does not use advertising identifiers, analytics, or tracking SDKs. It does not collect a contact list, location, or photos.
Links that leave the app
Links to ChurchofJesusChrist.org and YouTube open those sites. Their privacy policies apply once you leave Hold Fast.
How to delete your data
In the app, open Looks, then About, and tap Delete my shared data. Confirm it. Hold Fast then removes these from Apple’s public CloudKit database and from this device:
- every note you posted
- your streak row and the display name on the streak board
- reports you filed
You need to be signed in to the iCloud account that shared them. If part of the deletion does not finish, the app tells you what was removed, and you can try again to delete the rest.
If you cannot use the app, email wrap-basemen.9y@icloud.com and ask for that shared data to be deleted.
